清代宗室乡会试覆试制度研究

Abstract

Abstract: With the increasing number of imperial clansmen, how to find a way for them has become an important problem for the rulers of the Qing Dynasty. Whether to find a way for the imperial clan by means of imperial examinations or not was in dispute and in the stage of exploration. It was not until in the reign of Emperor Jiaqing, the imperial examinations system for imperial clan was established. Reexamination systems of metropolitan and provincial examination for imperial clan were established in the reigns of Jiaqing and Daoguang, which perfected the system of imperial examinations for the imperial clan. This system prevents and reduces fraudulent behavior and basically achieves the goal of reexamination and maintains the relative fairness and impartiality of imperial examinations for the imperial clan.
