Abstract: Duzhenwan in Hubei province is an area where folk narrative traditions are relatively rich. In the process of social transformation, oral narrative has changed a lot in the narration traditions, functions and audiences. Based on this, local authority has put forward the storytelling protection strategy of “acquaintance society”, which would provide ideas and conditions for the sustainable development of the folk oral narrative traditions.
