Abstract: Geological heritages are the tourism resources with unique features and advantages in Beibu Gulf Economic Zone of Guangxi. The construction of geopark and characteristic tourism exploration in this zone are the effective ways to promote innovative development of tourism which is an important local pillar industry. Beibu Gulf Economic Zone of Guangxi has an alternative list of geoparks for the construction one of a global geopark, five national geoparks and three provincial level geoparks, which comprise a geopark network system together with two other completed national geoparks and nine natural reserves (forest park and national park) similar to geopark. As for the characteristic tourism of geopark, great efforts should be made in expanding the system, which is composed of geological wonders watching, leisure resort, scientific exploration and cultural experience. Therefore, enough attention should be attached to exploiting the four major geopark sightseeing routes such as the North Route Karst Caves, the Tropic of Cancer, East Route Danxia Cave, Thermal Spring Wonderland, South Route Volcanic Islands, Coastal Scenic, West Route Alpine Forest and Transnational Waterfall.
