Abstract

Abstract: Liang Shu-ming was a well-known thinker in Chinese modern history. Chinese society was one of the two issues to which Liang had been seeking a solution all along (the other is about life). On the way out of Chinese society he once “advocated Western methods”, he then turned to Chinese traditional culture, and urged “sticking to Chinese cultural root” and creating “democracy of China style”, which showed extremely valuable cultural consciousness. Liang’s work not only helps people enhance national cultural self-confidence, but also provides valuable reference of theory and practice to explore the path to Chinese democracy for later generations.
