Science Education Actor-Network Change and Teacher Education Suggestion in “Double Reduction” Era

Abstract: The difficult point in China’s science education reform is to construct a curriculum system that scaffolds children engaging in scientific innovative activities. That system needs to be cultivated through a perspective of Big Science Education Curriculum, which could cover multi-dimensional scientific continuums. To evaluate the effect of this curriculum, a science education actor network should be analyzed. “Double Reduction” provided a lens to observe this network’s characteristics and change tendencies. Using policy tools that control time, space and identity, it brought in change in actor, meaning translation model, and network mode. It will reinforce reconstruction in science teacher education in normal universities.
