Theoretical Innovation and Systematic Improvement of Building an Education Power—A Thorough Understanding of the Important Speech Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping at the National Education Conference

Abstract: To build an education power is a complex systematic project. The series of important statements delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping on building an education power are important innovative achievements of Marxist state theory, which enhance and expand the strategic height, theoretical depth, and practical breadth of the world power theory, and reflect the high unity of the essence, purpose, practice, and methodology of building an education power. Drawn from the proposal of the concept of building an education power to the issue of “China's Education Modernization 2035 plan”, from General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the fifth group study session held by the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee to the important speech delivered at the 2024 National Education Conference, it can be concluded that the idea of building an education power has become more mature, the theoretical system has become more scientific, systematic, and perfect, and the measures have become more effective, marking the maturity of the theory of building an education power with Chinese characteristics and the acceleration of practice. To build an education power, we need to further grasp the overall trend, respond scientifically, implement comprehensive policies, accelerate the construction of an education power through Chinese education modernization, and provide Chinese theories, experiences, and models for the modernization of world education.
