A Study on the Micro-Mechanism of Macro Social Historical Movement——the Relation between Blau and Marx as an Example

Abstract: It is a major problem of materialist conception of history that how individual praxis converts into dialectical movement of society and history. Blau’s social exchange theory can contribute enlightenment and materials for this research. The two theoretical paradigms are complementary, then we should draw lessons from Blau’s theory, which may reinforce the micro-foundation of materialist conception of history.
