The Realistic Picture of Artificial Intelligence Driving Educational Transformation —An Analysis of Teachers’ Coping Strategies with ChatGPT

Abstract: With the robust growth of information technology, artificial intelligence has shown great vitality in the transformation of empowering education. ChatGPT, as a language processing tool, can not only answer user questions, but also complete certain tasks set by users, and it even can continuously optimize tasks. Even with such powerful functions, it has shortcomings that need to be improved urgently, for instance insufficient accuracy in answering questions, data pollution, ethics and security issues, and knowledge plagiarism risks. On account of this, there have been both opportunities and challenges in applying ChatGPT in promoting the transformation of school education; ChatGPT provides teachers with an opportunity to reflect on role of human teacher and puts forward higher requirements for teachers.
