The Connotation and Cultivation of the Spirit of Chinese Educators from the Perspective of Cultural Philosophy

Abstract: The unique spirit of Chinese educators, as it is rooted in fine traditional Chinese culture, is the crystallization of the spiritual character and values of outstanding educators. From the perspective of cultural philosophy, the rational thinking and practical promotion of the unique spirit of Chinese educators can be understood from three aspects: the logic of cultural value, the logic of cultural subject, and the logic of cultural activity. On this basis, clarifying the specific requirements and internal connections of the ideals and convictions, moral sentiments, educational wisdom, cultivation attitude, benevolence, and pursuit for a better world, the six elements of the spirit of educators, is conducive to clarifying the connotation and essence of the unique educator spirit infused with fine traditional Chinese culture. The learning and practice of the spirit of educators should continue to draw spiritual nourishment from the fine traditional Chinese culture. In the new era, teachers should promote the spirit of educators through reading, introspection, practice, innovation, and study tours, thus achieving the organic unity of values, subjects, and actions.
