A Study on the Protection and Inheritance of Zuojiang Huashan Pictograph Culture in the Post-application Period

Abstract: The Zuojiang Huashan pictographs have won widely recognition at home and abroad because of their unique nationality, culture and artistry. In 2016, they were included in the List of World Heritage Sites. However, with the rapid development of modern society, the eco-cultural circle of traditional Huashan pictographs is faced with serious challenges. The protection and inheritance encounters great difficulties. This paper tries to construct a systematic method of protection and inheritance, and address the past problems of isolated studies and low coordination through an analysis on the current situation of inheritance and protection, so as to provide guidance to the sustainable heritage protection of Huashan pictographs.
