Media Literacy Education and the Growth of Contemporary Female College Students in China

Abstract: In the present information society, media literacy education has a profound impact on the growth of contemporary female college students in China. From the positive perspective, media literacy plays an irreplaceable and vital role in promoting female students’ growth. While at the same time, from the negative perspective, online dirty minds, cyberspace, and network public opinions will also do serious harm to the students. Therefore, there is a strong necessity for a target media literacy education to promote balanced development and cultivate sound personality of female students as media citizens.
