Abstract

Abstract: To study the history of the Communist Party of China, we should first seize the theme and thread of her centennial history, in a way that we can grasp the essence of history. The theme here, this paper points out, is “the Party’s having been seeking happiness for the Chinese people, rejuvenation for the Chinese nation,and great harmony for the world”. The thread here, this paper tells, refers to“her unremitting efforts for practicing the aspiration and the mission, her continuous struggle for theoretical innovation and creation for adopting Marxism to the Chinese context, and her non-stop pursuit of strengthening self construction to maintain the advanced nature and purity since her founding in 1921. Both the theme and thread can be caught only by focusing on the overall historical situation of the Party in the past 100 years.
