英语网络课程教学中教师的语用身份及其话语建构

摘要： 身份建构问题已成为当今语用学研究的一大热点。在不同的交际语境下,出于不同的交际需求,英语网络课程教师在教学活动中会建构不同的语用身份,而这些语用身份的建构是通过各种话语策略得以实现的,最终获得了不同的交际效果。具体而言,英语网络课程教师通过语体策略、言语行为策略、称谓语策略和多模态策略,建构了知识传授者、学习引导者、讨论组织者、协作参与者、课业评价者、资源收集者和技术指导者等七种语用身份;这些语用身份和话语策略具有多元性和动态性的特征。

Abstract: Identity construction has nowadays aroused great attention in the studies of pragmatics. With the theory of pragmatic identity, this paper discusses the pragmatic identities and discourse construction strategies of the teaching activities of English teachers in college online courses. We find that the pragmatic identities of English teachers vary because of different communicative contexts and needs; the construction of pragmatic identities is realized by the kinds of discourse strategies and therefore the communicative effects are different. Specifically speaking, English teachers in online courses will employ different discourse strategies, such as language style, speech acts, forms of address, and multimodality, to construct these seven pragmatic identities, namely, educators, guides, organizers, participants, evaluators, material collectors, and technicians. All these pragmatic identities and discourse strategies are diversified and dynamic.
