Abstract: With the development of economic and social conditions in Africa, African education is constantly improving. However, the imbalance of education development in Africa has seriously affected primary and secondary teachers’ career choice, resulting in the large number of teachers’ frequent migration. This migrating trend reveals some characteristics, such as teachers’ choice of a neighboring country, more males than females, and most of them at the age of thirty to fifty. And there are also some factors that influence this trend among which are material and spiritual needs of self-realization, globalization, and unstable political situation, national policies for teacher mobility and so on.

Key words: Africa, migration of primary and secondary school teachers, teacher resources
